For the past ten years, Julia Rouzaud has immersed herself in the spirit of the times, constantly refining her demanding and curious eye as a curator.
In 2014, she founded Goodmoods, an essential platform of inspiration for creatives and aesthetes in interior design.
Every week, she shares her curated selections through moodboards, decoding the essence of contemporary taste.
Her projects blend artistic direction, curation, styling, and interior design, drawing on her sharp eye, visionary flair, and talent as an ensemble designer. In every moodboard, scenography, or interior, she weaves rich stories, paying close attention to colors, materials, and imagination.
Each project begins with in-depth research into context, history, and the past, which fuels her inspiration. Julia then combines her knowledge of emerging trends with her passion for 20th-century decorative arts.
She draws inspiration from great decorators such as Josef Frank, Madeleine Castaing, and Jacques Grange; from cinema, spanning 1950s musicals to Michel Gondry's music videos; from nature, ranging from the Scandola Reserve to the beaches of northern France; and from her travels around the world. Influenced by a lineage that includes an antique dealer grandmother and an interior architect mother, she is driven by a need for dreamlike beauty to elevate the everyday and a mission to unite talents and ojects that resonate with her.
Guided by visual storytelling, her projects stand out for their unique cinematic joy. She merges the elegance of the 1930s, the modernity of the 1950s, and the exuberance of the 1980s, crafting timeless, familiar, and unexpected atmospheres.
For the past decade, Julia has intertwined eras and styles, creating eclectic worlds and spaces imbued with meaning and character.
